Hi
The driver needed to find some parking, and saw a gym one and assumed it was free. The driver left the car for about 10 15 mins. When the driver got back saw the parking notice charge. The driver then realised there were some signs around, even though not very clearly posted especially near the entrance . It was from UK parking patrol office, and they are asking for £100 or £60 within14 days I appealed this and they rejected it. I then tried to appeal to popla , however it states I need a 10 digit reference number. I emailed parking patrol to ask for this, and there reply was "Please be advised that as we are not subscribers to the Ombudsman scheme we are unable to supply you with a POPLA code. If you would like to seek independent arbitration of your appeal then you would need to do so with the IAS, see our initial response" What can I do now if anything ? I have pictures too if that helps , but I am not sure how to upload. This post has been edited by Pharma88: Wed, 31 Jan 2018 - 19:12 |

Time to put Gladstones to task. Why not drop a SAR-bomb on them and ask specifically about this letter that they have (not) sent. You might as well get SIP doing a bit of work too with a similar bomb! Here's some ideas on how to put one together. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showth...d.php?t=5849784 The more you make yourself an awkward git, the more they are likely to deem you too hot to handle, and move on to lower-hanging fruit. There's nothing to lose in giving them grief. Haha you are amazing, I will definitely be doing this, thanks:D |

QUOTE You might as well get SIP doing a bit of work too with a similar bomb! Oops. Don't bother SIP - it's UKPPO who is chasing you! My original input is now edited! |

Thanks Albert and what do you mean to not put anything at all in the defence box?

Leave it blank. No full stop, no 'defence to follow', nothing whatsoever.

Apologies if I am being slow or missed the point, but first he said defend in full, how do I defend in full without writing in the defence box as there is nowhere else to write? I apologies for my naivety and ignorance.

Have actually got out of this thread and read other threads?
You tick the box that says "Defend in Full" and you send your defence to the court later. After acknowledging you have 33 days from the date of issue to get your properly formatted defence to the court. This post has been edited by ostell: Sun, 20 Oct 2019 - 06:39 |

Hi thanks everyone so far, and I did read the other threads but I got myself confused. Can anyone please guide me to a link to another thread. I made a mistake and submitted my defence in error, mot realising it was a separate section to ask for extension. I realised immediately after and I called HMcourts but they are only giving me 2 days to submit my actual defence. I am going abroad today for work so I have to do it tonight. I have jumped to posting this before going through all other posts due to time restraint. I know this was very sloppy of me! But I would really appreciate it if anyone can advise me , I am desperate

I just seen Pete Jones FAQS on PRIVATE PARKING COMPANIES, in my first appeal I said I cannot confirm nor deny who the driver was as I used a template. Do I stick to that and ask UKParking patrol to email me any pictures?

There is a Newcastle airport thread on moneysavingexpert where successful defences of claims are listed.

There is a Newcastle airport thread on moneysavingexpert where successful defences of claims are listed. While the common denominator is UKPPO, airport cases/defences will be more complex than standard parking charge cases and centre around byelaws and the inapplicability of keeper liability on not relevant land/roads covered by RTEs. Copying one of those could make things worse than they are now, in my view. |

Thankyou umkomass. I never managed to submit my defence yesterday, I will have to submit tonight in copanhagen! Any further tips then? And the byelaws confused me so I am glad I can avoid that..

Now you had a link to the MSE NEWBIES thread, make sure you also read bargepole's COURT PROCEDURES thread linked there under 'IMPORTANT - KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN' so you don;t come and ask us when you get the DQ N180 form, and even worse, so you do not overlook the vital stage of your WS & evidence a few weeks before the hearing.
Can you show us a photo of their signage in the meantime please? |

Hi I have now received a 'Notice of proposed allocation to the small claims track,' from the county court business centre. What do I do now? How should I approach filling the form?

Hey sorry I am about to send the form N180 and one of the threads and this form says serve copies to all parties? Am I supposed to copy this form and send it to BW too? What if I don't, sorry I have read the threads but I am still confused about me having to send a copy elsewhere and not just to the county court in Northampton
