Hi

Can anyone help please, I was at Wembley on 5th August and paid £20 to park, on return to my car I had a ticket from private parking solutions saying it was permit only, but concerningly, the parking attendant left the ticket right in my eyeline so when I pulled the ticket off the adhesive was a big hindrance for my 220 mile journey home, meaning it was very difficult to see properly and as I had a young family in the car was quite a worrying journey home.
I appealed the ticket as I had paid to park and was shown where to park but more importantly told them about the danger they caused me on my homeward journey, they rejected my appeal but failed to even acknowledge the distress caused, so after two more emails and again no acknowledgement, I spoke with the local police who told me this should not have been left in this way and advised me to speak with a solicitor, regarding it.
Does anyone think I should ignore the ticket until I hear from there regarding this or speak to legal advice and continue ?
many thanks

Driving with your view obstructed (if caught) would be your issue. (You would be expected to ensure it was safe before driving)

Whether you could pursue them for ‘damage’ would be difficult.

However, your primary issue is the parking company which are quite litigious so a court claim could arrive. You may have prejudiced some of your options if you’ve admitted driving. Private parking companies generally do not accept appeals.

Sounds like some sort of ‘sting’ exercise to ticket drivers but hard to comment without seeing signs and the area etc.

So, did you park in a real carpark? who did you pay? etc.

Forget the "damages". You were at fault for driving with the car in that condition, ultimately.
