My partner's just received a PCN for an alleged bus lane contravention in <street name> but no post code, area. Could this be challenged initially on vague location? There's a whole list of <street name> on google maps. Also the street involved is quite long. The alleged offence was at 0030-ish apparently in a very short bus lane with what appears to be a width restriction next to it. There is also no vehicle make on the PCN!

I've suggested she challenges it on vague location; she's not familiar with the area and doesn't recall driving along any bus lane or being in that area at the time.

The date of the alleged offence is 30/09/2018, pcn sent 19/10/2018, received 20/10/18. Is this within the date frame for issuing a bus lane PCN?

Put PCN on https://imgbb.com and post BBcode embed links.

Post Google Street View.

Video not on Harrow's site I think - you have to ask them for it.

This looks like the spot:-

I would have a look at this sort of appeal:-

It may have been. As we live in Kent we haven't got clue where Camrose Avenue is. It was also 0030 when Clare C's car was photographed there and the road markings from the streetview maps are not the clearest. Shouldn't there also be prior warning of the bus lane? Inadequate signange?

It is not a bus lane as such but a gate where buses go through one part and other vehicles through another part.

Camrose Avenue is in the London Borough of Harrow and runs from the A5 in Edgware towards Queensbury. Its name changes to Taunton Way before it reaches Queensbury Circus.

That "gate" has been there since about 1974-75 and was intended primarily to 1. prevent through access by lorries and 2. slow down other vehicular traffic.

In any case there have been a number of appeals at that junction and so there may be some guidance as to whether they were won or lost and upon what grounds.

Can anyone advise me on how long the council have to issue the PCN between the time of the alleged violation?

28 days--your PCN has been served in time.

Clare C paid the reduced amount as she gets stressed quite easily by these sorts of things. I hope others who have the time and patience to deal with these things have better success.

Thanks to everyone for their help.
