Hello,
I am not sure if this has been covered (sorry if it has) but today I had to go down a one way street the wrong way due to the road being closed. At the end of the road shown on the photos is the continuous one way street, the signage was not as clear today as the photo. I went to go ahead realising it was continuous of the one way street and stopped just slightly passed the sign. I was in a van and not fully over or down the road. Realising this is not right I stopped, reversed slightly and turned the way I should go. Although I didn't fully commit down the road, with at worst my front wheels passing the sign before I stopped, what can I face coming? Will I expect a fine and points? I've Attached a photo of the junction (again please note it was not as clear as it is on google that I couldn't go down it) plus a photo of what the type of camera is on the post. Should I expect anything? And if so what is heading my way? Thank you very much in advance for any help on this. |

No-one can predict that!! You (or the RK of the van) will have to wait and see.
Not the clearest signs I've ever seen though! |

Unless or until this becomes a case the Mod's have moved it to the flame pit.
What could you get? Fixed penalty from the Police (3points and £100 fine - or they could take it to court if they believe it's serious enough) or a Penalty Charge Notice from the council (as it's in London) (no points). As for what is most likely to happen, from the Police - almost certainly nothing, from the council it depends if they monitor that location or not, that camera may or may not be there for that purpose. A Google street view link would have been 10 times more useful that screenshots from it! -------------------- There is no such thing as a law abiding motorist, just those who have been scammed and those yet to be scammed!

Given it is London, good chance there is a camera on it.
Won't be anything from police unless they were there at the time and stop you. Likely to be a council PCN winging its way to the RK. If it does, come back to the council forum with the PCN, location and copy of the council video. |
