I managed to get myself flashed in a 20mph zone in the early hours this morning on wandsworth road from clapham towards Vauxhall. I thought it was odd as on the approach i was doing 33/34 then slowed down to 30mph to go through the area that the camera covers. I got flashed as i passed the camera and as soon as the first flash went off, i checked my speed which was bang on 30mph then the second flash confirmed i had been zapped.
Looking through google, i can now see that the whole borough has reduced their road speeds to 20 mph including the road i was travelling on. Street view shows there are plenty of signs stating 20mph which i honestly never saw or observed.
I am guilty and that's it. I never expected the road to be 20 mph as it is a main route into london.
It there anything i can do to get off with it?
I guess that the simple answer is No but someone may have a solid plan that would assist.

Know the camera well, and you'll find its in Lambeth I think. Anyway wait for the NIP - until then there's no point worrying.

Probably not. Wait until the NIP arrives.

Anywhere else on the Internet offering to 'get you off' usually involves the risk of time in prison.

Stop worrying. The worst that can happen (unless you decide to fight it) is a fixed penalty of £100 and 3 points, or attending a course. Neither of these is life-changing.
