There have been many members requesting help with mitigation on the forums, and this article brings together bits and pieces of advice as well as links to good examples on the forums of mitigation and what has been successful.

In addition to these very good examples above, and in order to show willingness, and some recognition of the seriousness of the offence, it may be worth mentioning you intend to take/book/have taken a driving course to improve your behaviour, this would be a great help in my opinion in showing you are generally a responsible driver.

Showing the will power in taking one of these courses would provide extra 'ammunition' for your cause as the positive effects this has had on your driving could be stated to the Magistrates, maybe offering proof of completion of the course could be taken along to the hearing, i'm sure helpful comments from the instructors would help too.
