Received today, final demand for nearly £8000 to settle PCN from 2013/2014 for parking in supermarket car park. Driver was shopping and parked at supermarket and had blue badge displayed. Car no longer owned. Driver has not received any letters about the supposed penalty charge since 2013/2014. All ignored at the time. Driver returned home today to find signed for letter from DRP which son signed informing that the account was on hold until July after which they will instruct their client to go to court. General advice read is to completely ignore DRP demands. Should driver continue to and await court paperwork? Utterly amazed at amount demanded as well as lack of communication for so many years yet suddenly making demands now - in recent weeks upto 16 letters per day for same PCN for the 2013/2014 period received. Is the £8000 for a single incident and/or PCN? If not, how many? Is any indication given as to how that sum was calculated?

The driver drove, the keeper received the demands, please edit your post now.
DRP are a debt collector, they get nothing if it goes to court so I’m sure they won’t be instructing their client that way at all (and I’ve never seen a DRP letter that says so). What relevance is the blue badge? This sounds like multiple tickets given dates of 2013 and 2014.
Given the amount demanded it's probably about 50 tickets. But needs confirming! Even the most tame PPC's might be tempted to raise a claim for this amount. -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver

Or merely a missing decimal point.
