I have sudden stopped at the yellow amber but was half way on the white line however was not blocking the pedestrian crossing.
i looked in the back mirror and there was nobody so tried reversing it a little but by that time a car was already coming in my lane so i stopped reversing and stayed standstill. But still i was over the white line Then there comes the flash being activated on me even i was standstill at that time Will i get a ticket? If i would have gone through the yellow then i would have avoided the flash. Any suggestions? any advice? thanks link to google maps https://goo.gl/maps/97ZienoKNDH2 |

If any of your car crossed the white line when the lights were red, then the offence is complete.
You'll have to wait 14 days and see what arrives in the post, (assuming you're the RK). This post has been edited by peterguk: Thu, 16 Aug 2018 - 10:23 -------------------- |

If any of your car crossed the white line going forwards when the lights were red, then the offence is complete. You'll have to wait 14 days and see what arrives in the post, (assuming you're the RK). The reason I added it is that the OP mentions reversing...... in most cases it would be implicit but here it could be read that reversing back over the line was an offence.

Is it possible for a camera to show a negative speed, such as minus 2mph to account for the reversing?

Not as I understand it, but the photos would show the car was going backwards.
