Hi all,

Like many I came across this community and if you could help me just understanding what's my best course of action to begin with.

The driver got treated with a ticket on the windscreen when returned to their car on the 14/03/2019 @ Westbury Train Station
Parking was paid over the mobile app when parked, when the driver got to the car and opened the PCN sleeve the ticket references parking over 2 bays. The car was on top of the line, a bit over, but by no means a "2 bay parking", the wheel still touching the line. I've attached the picture below from the infraction taken by the warden.

The interesting one is that the ticket was hand written to expand on the "2 bay parking" - saying "not parked between lines - unable to use off side bay".

Been punished with a £100 fine unless paid within 14 days and they give a nice gesture of shaving off £50.

I feel like this was a bit over zealous about the parking, the driver had purchase a ticket, so my question is: Should I ring them and see if it can be canceled because its a bit over the top, or by doing so will be "pleading" guilty and loose any chances to go through the appeal to get the POPLA code?

I was tempted to ring and offer to pay the daily charge of the other bay, as it's reasonable, but the carpark never get's full anywway specially as they have just extended

First thing, edit your post right away to avoid hinting at the identity of the driver. It's "The driver got treated with a ticket on their windscreen when they returned to their car" etc.

I'll go to the station later to take a pic of the T&Cs to see if it's theirs or owned by the railway. The other ones to my knowledge in Wits are only managed by APCOA

not entirely sure about the highway code and the application to this, but in football it's not goal if it's touching the line, regardless of what side of the line it is. There is space for another car next to it. Granted it's not the best of parkings, a note/warning would have been fair.
