Experian
While I think I'm very creditworthy, none of the other credit reference agencies give me their absolute maximum score or very near it. What's up with Experian? Could others check out what score Experian allots them, and share? |

999 for me too!
I'm a rather more realistic 667 out of 710 with TransUnion. -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver

My Experian rating only dropped from 999 when I was put as guarantor on my daughters mortgage, back up a year later.
My bank via TransUnion rates me at number below max (over 600) but still rates as ‘excellent’. This post has been edited by The Rookie: Fri, 26 Feb 2021 - 07:53 -------------------- There is no such thing as a law abiding motorist, just those who have been scammed and those yet to be scammed!

999 for me too! I'm a rather more realistic 667 out of 710 with TransUnion. The Experian number isn't much use, it seems. Probably the more detailed assessment you have to pay to get gives a more realistic number. I have an issue with Transunion. I've owned, lived in and been continuously registered for Council Tax etc at the same house for many decades. Several years ago, the Council started chasing me to fill in the "Who Lives Here" weeks after I'd posted it back to them, as I do each year immediately the form comes through the letterbox. So, I filled it in a second time, online (exactly the same information, "No change from previous year". Some months later, my Transunion rating (via Noddle) dropped from about 670 to 662. When I looked up why, I found Transunion had got me as newly arrived at that address. I contacted the Council, who came back with an "Aha, we see why this probably happened, you made a duplicate submission for that year (only because they lost and then found the paper submission) and our automated system hasn't handled it very well. Not to fret, we'll post you a "Certificate of Inclusion" which will confirm that you've been continuously registered at that address since [the Romans conquered Britain], and this will solve your problem. They did that straight away. I passed this Certificate of Inclusion on to Noddle and Transunion, demanded they fix the problem, but... no response other than "Bear with us, we're looking at this." It's now been a year and the data is still wrong. I wrote to Transunion demanding they allow me to attach a note (up to 200 words) bt no response to that either. Any ideas? ICO? |

Use the DPA2018 for Data Rectification.
Try consumer@transunion.co.uk -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver

Use the DPA2018 for Data Rectification. Not s159 CCA74? (Consumer Credit Act 1974) DPA is more generic, but CCA gives specific rights... You're clearly risky -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver

You normally leave yourself on the electoral roll when you move abroad as you are able to vote for 15 years after you have left the UK. -------------------- British Parking Association Ltd Code of Practice(Appendix C contains Schedule 4 of POFA 2012 ) & can be found here http://www.britishparking.co.uk/Code-of-Pr...ance-monitoring

One of the minus point that show up is that I'm not registered on the electoral roll for my last property in the UK. Have to fill in a form and send back every year to stay on the roll.. The ludicrous scheme of credit rating is beyond belief. If you have no loans or credit card, you go way down the rating.
Your rating is high if you regularly pay some money into reducing debts or if you have loans. You are mainly judged on your debts and credit cards. Wealthy people only have a high rating because they pay for everything on credit cards and then have i tautomatically paid off at the end of the month by direct debit. I wouldn't describe myself as wealthy, living in a small terraced house in the South East, but I do pay for almost everything on a CC and always pay it off every month. The CC gives cash back so it's a win win situation. |

The ludicrous scheme of credit rating is beyond belief. If you have no loans or credit card, you go way down the rating. While credit products help build up your credit history, they are far from the only accounts that contribute to your credit history. Utilities, mobile phone contracts, current accounts are all factored in. And to be honest the very wealthy, by definition, don't need credit. -------------------- If you would like assistance with a penalty charge notice, please post a thread on https://www.ftla.uk/index.php
