The Civil Procedure Rules committee has finally decided to rationalise the rules on contempt of court proceedings: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations...-of-cpr-part-81
These welcome changes might make it a bit more viable to pursue TFL employees who sign statements of truth recklessly. -------------------- If you would like assistance with a penalty charge notice, please post a thread on https://www.ftla.uk/index.php

The real objective, of course, was to secure the rights of those subject to committal proceedings for contempt (some of whom were being imprisoned without due process). The potential to initiate committal proceedings should not have changed.

Well of course the substantive law is not being changed, but still it helps when the process is reasonably clear. Also allowing DJs to consider contempt applications should expedite proceedings to some extent.
