Hello friends i am back once again today i have received yet another letter from a different solicitor (Gladstones Solicitor) citing that i owe £160 to Uk car park management Ltd. I havent a clue where this happened or when i parked in there car park etc but the letter from gladstones is a letter before claim letter and i hope someone can help in what i should do next. I ignored such a letter previously and i am in a court case against CEL on where i am being helped out on another thread. In the Gladstones letter it says i need to reply within 30 days or legal proceedings will take effect thank you for reading.

So you write back to Gladstones and ask for all the document they will be relying on in this case in order to achieve the overriding objective of narrowing the issue. In particular you need a copy of any windscreen ticket if there is one and a copy of the Notice to Keeper.

Business must be slow for them. I got one in the post today as well for one that I apparently got 2 years ago. They might be going through their old files.

Your personal decision, but this is a civil matter, not criminal, totally different.

Either way I know they'll hound me and after the current situation I'm in with Cel I don't think I've got it in me to write up defences and witness statements which I can't do anyway and I feel I am too much of headache for people on this forum because I don't understand what I'm doing. Would be best all round iff I paid up n call it a day.

Which of your cases does this refer to Your topics (or is it a new one) if its a duplicate thread for an existing case it would be better to get them merged.

If you are in one court case, then the next is easier!

Is this actually from Gallstones or is it a letter sent by a DCA on Gallstones headed paper? The clue will be in who it tells you to pay!

The LBA from gladstones almost certianly does not comply with the requirements of the PAP for debt claims, and even more as you have no idea what this is about you MUSt repsond back asking them to comply with the protocol by senfding COPIES of all relevant documents such as a notice tor keeper, copieso f the contract they allege is in place - meaning the signs - and anything else you can find that would be useful....

That doesn't stop Gladstones. Reply requesting a compliant LBA (which they won't send). Then, in a few months you'll most likely receive court papers.

I've already logged onto there website and replied as to why I don't think I owe anything because I always display my permit but I don't think it will wash with them.

When did you do that? whose website, the parking firm in an early appeal, or what?

You appear to have implied who the driver was?

Yes I've implicated myself as the driver it seems. I've replied on Gladstone's official website by logging on because the alleged debt now Gladstone's are trying to collect.

I realize but it's quite a lengthy process which in already going through with another parking company which went to far and has becomea real headache which is why I was considering paying.

I understand all that but all the defence statements witness statements etc I just can't word it or anything and there's all sorts of court deadlines n things which all becomes too much for me. Iff there was a quick way out of be happy to take it but I find it very complicated while carrying for my pensioner mother. That's the reason I'm thinking of paying for it to go away. Although of course your sentiments are spot on don't pay the scammers and in a sense encourage them.
