8pm 28/05/2015. Not too hopeful as the media don't really seem to understand the intricacies of the PPC world, but they might throw up something worth seeing.

Typical half-hearted mess from WD.
Didn't challange the guy on how they could justify £100 penalties Didn't identify PPC - why not? Didn't make the legal framework clear - implied that everything was legally backed and that appeal to the PPC parasites was the only option. Anne Robinson as an interviewer is a complete joke. Can they really not find anyone better - Roger Cook must be spinning in his grave. Pathetic. |

I just watched it on the BBC iPlayer. That smarmy ×××× from the IPC kept peddling a claim that "70% of tickets that are cancelled at that stage (IAS appeal) are cancelled on mitigation." This went unchallenged by Ann Robinson, who pointedly failed to ask what percentage of tickets refered to the IAS are cancelled. I can't believe she let him get away with such an obvious fudge. This is also a bit odd: on the IAS website - theias.org - under FAQs, "what grounds can I appeal on?" it says 'The Independent adjudicator is only allowed to consider the lawfulness of the charge. They cannot consider mitigation". ????????????? |

If you were a crook or bit of a shyster back in the day I'll be those words would be your worst nightmare - "Roger Cook, Central Television". |

Certainly challenged the 'not unconscionable' part of Beavis given the unconscionable behaviour of the PPC!
So 70% of accepted appeals are based on mitigation that they won't consider......mind you that may only be 7 a month of the 10 they accept!
