Colleague of mine showed me his 'money shot' today - 80 in a 50 at 209 metres on A3 (non-motorway obviously).
I re-read the sentencing guidelines today and it indicates a ban of 7-56 days OR 6 points, which I understand is a reversal on the previous guidance of 6 points OR a ban of 7-56 days. Obviously its a band C fine of at least 150% of relevant weekly income, but is the preference now to disqualify rather than issue the points?

I dont see that there is any difference between 6 points or 7-56 days and 7-56 days or 6 points. Because one is listed first surely doesn’t mean that is the preferred option unless the guidelines say that the FIRST option must be imposed unless there are good reasons why not ( or something like that )
