I seem to recall reading on here a while back that one of the reasons that late first NIPs are very rare these days is that ticket offices run a system which prevents them being issued. Does anyone else remember what it was I read, or was I dreaming?
this one?

"The thing is, that the PentiP software used by all police forces for the issue of the NIP actually will not print out a NIP if the offence date is 14 days ago due to a pre-set parameter."
There was a case on here where it was issued later despite the camera bods claiming it was impossible.
Certainly it is exceedingly rare. But there are very few pieces of software where the rules can't be manually overridden, or someone hasn't got a template on Word because they can never remember their login. I find it difficult to believe an override doesn't exist just because of the number of circumstances where the 14 day rule doesn't apply.
Thanks all. It was PentiP I was trying to recall.
