Hi,

My father parked in Morrisons carpark Solihull at the end of June. Earlier this week he received a PCN demanding
£80 or £50 if he pays by 13th July or £110 after that as he had overstayed by 70 minutes.

They have his car reg and his full name and address. I was about to pay the fine online but stopped when I came across this
website.

My question is should he pay Parking Eye, are they legal? and what will happen if he doesn't i.e. will there be baliffs?

I know this question has been asked loads of times but I couldn't find a current response.

Thank you.

Ignore them and don't pay. As for bailiffs, the case would have to go to court (very unlikely), you lose (very, very unlikely) and then you don't pay whatever the judge orders within 28 days. That's such a remote possibly it's not worth worrying about. Perhaps you are confusing bailiffs with debt collectors . The latter are just private citizens with no more power than you or me to demand money off people.

When dealing with "tickets" from private parking companies (PPCs) including Parking Eye our advice is to ignore them. For more information about this recommendation and private parking companies, click this link. if you do want to pay then end me a few quid as well laugh.gif

Never, ever pay PPC's, at least Dick turpin wore a mask.

You may as well ask the question :

Should I send money when I get a Nigerian email ?

The outcome is the same.

If you contact them you'll be added to the "sucker list" and it's about as likely to go to court.

You can have a laugh now safe in the knowledge Parking Eye have wasted £2.50 in getting the details from the DVLA biggrin.gif

There is no fine to pay as private parking companies cannot issue fines! Simply ignore all further junk mail from them!

He probably couldn't find a recent response to a question about Morrisons in Solihull.

I concur, "unsolicited invoices" is a better description.

To bow down is a sign of dignity and, funnily enough in the eyes of the law a, quite legal request to have the CPS park one up ya back drive.
