Hi, Iv been ignoring letters from these guys for a while now as I'm from Northern Ireland and they cant do anything here. Iv an address in England which I use and
I've received a county court business center claim form for parking on private land at st helens college. I've been doing a lot of reading over the forum and have half convinced myself to pay up and look jolly but thought id post here just before I go ahead. Issue date 06 August, says my time begins 5 days after this date giving me just over a week to make my move. They want 175.00 and have captured a vehicle owned my myself on parking eyes ANPR (no mention of driver, just a picture of the front of the car) claim form states under the particulars of the claim that "new details have been obtained from a credit reference agency for the defendant" meaning my home address was probably got through the DVLA and because I ignored the letters they have found an alternative address in which to follow up their claim, Iv binned all the previous correspondence as I believed I was immune to these letters but they have obviously found an English address for me which is in my name. I was thinking of getting them to send out all the relevant information to my home address in Ireland on the hope this would discourage them from following on with the claim or am I just kidding myself thinking it is that easy. I can post up the claim form if required. thanks in advance for any help and thanks for all the info posted up on this site. Next time I get one of these I will know what to write back. |

1) how do you "use" this English address? Is the car registered there?
2) guessing not but you buried this info so I wasn't sure You need to tick that you are out of jurisdiction of the e and w court Then you need to make aN244 application, fee is £100, in order to actually contest this properly. Fail to do so your tick is ignored. Yes , it sucks . You need to then apply to the court, in the n24r, to get this fee back from the claimant. |

QUOTE Iv binned all the previous correspondence as I believed I was immune to these letters but they have obviously found an English address for me which is in my name You were never immune - just administratively inconvenient for the computer based system. They found a convenient approach for them that makes it administratively inconvenient for you. This post has been edited by emanresu: Sat, 18 Aug 2018 - 07:31 |

Hi, thanks for the response guys, English address is used for work, cars not registered there. I think for the time it takes to do its looking like they will finally get something out of me.

No, St helens, Merseyside. Had it been in NI it would have been laughed at like the rest of the WARNING letters.

So it was a breach in England and they have found your address in England then they can bring a case against you.
