First of all I hope you are all keeping safe in these weird times.

I’m really glad I came across you guys after googling parking tickets.

I recently received this through my door. My mates are saying I don’t have to pay it and to ignore all communication. Can I confirm this is the right course of action?

I apologise in advance as I’m sure this has been answered plenty of times, I just want specific to me reassurance that I’m okay to ignore.

Thanks in advance!!

DO NOT IGNORE

Post images of what you have received, redacted of personal information.

Far better advice is available here given enough information.

The advice to ignore died-out years and years ago, and pub-mates advice that will land you in more trouble.

Thanks for getting back to me. For some reason my attachment didn’t work. I’ll try again.

You've been a bit overzealous with the redaction.

Dates at least need to left in. It's more often that not problems with dates that are fatal to the PPC's claim.

Leave these in so the experts can check the document better.

Times will be useful too, so that required allowances have been applied, especially relevant in ANPR car parks where the times used by the PPC don't actually represent the start and end times of parking.

Dear Sirs,

I have just received your Notice to Keeper xxxxx for vehicle VRM xxxx

You have failed to comply with the requirements of Schedule 4 of The Protection Of Freedoms Act 2012 namely, but not limited to, failing to give the invitation to keeper as prescribed by section 9 (2) (e) of the Act. You cannot, therefore, transfer liability for the alleged charge from the driver at the time to me, the keeper.

There is no legal requirement to name the driver at the time and I will not be doing so.

I do not expect to hear from you again, or your debt collectors, except to confirm that no further action will be taken on this matter and my personal details have been removed from your records.

Yours etc

But give us the dates for additional ammunition.

Thank you for this, it’s really helpful. I have reattached dates. I am skeptical to attach times as they’re specific to this case.

Thank you.

Would you expect to hear any further communication? Is there a risk of the fine going up for appealing?

They will reject, because they can.

You then appeal to POLA which should be successful, though POPLA have been giving some strange judgements lately

Is it still the case the Euro Car Parks only take about one person a year to Court?

What will I say when contacting to POLA?

There’s been no response yet, I’d just like to know for when they reject.

Thanks!
