Hi Guys,

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I got a ticket on a single yellow line however there were no time plates on the section of the road i was parked on.

Here's the road i was parked on.

I've not got the parking ticket as i've miss placed it. I've added the NTO to the folder album link below.

https://ibb.co/album/iNRWAa - my parking images and NTO

I believe i can contest it due to the lack of time plates and no pictures on the NTO?

If you require more info, let me know. I'm new at posting in the forum.

Thank you!

It's hopeless hiding the time and date.

Looks like a controlled zone for Spurs match days. So the date and time and crucial.

GSV is old though but we know there is a match day zone there.

Check council site for pics.

If that road is apart of a zone shouldn't they have a time plate to confirm that?

On 19 October Spurs were home to Watford, 3pm kick off. Church Lane is in the event day zone which was operational 12pm to 8pm on that day. Your PCN is timed at 12.18pm.

Did you challenge the PCN? I can only see a grovel to get the discount back assuming the zone entry signs were in place with the apply today showing.

Are those the council's pics you showed - any of signage?

There was no signage of that road being in a zone, which is why i parked. Wouldn't that have to be on a time plate to adhere to?

I haven't contested no.

The second album is all of the council pics, no signage at all. There weren't any at the time when i took my own pictures.

PM me the car reg and PCN number.

Do you know about controlled parking zones (CPZs). They are all over London and control yellow lines by entry signs to the zones.

No sign pic by council which is odd as you were at the end of the room right by the entry signs (if they are still in that location). Also you pointing the other way so where did you enter the zone.

Well we may have hit on something that could save you as indeed council says the pink areas are CPZs but that bit where you where at bottom end of Church lane is not in their CPZ map for some reason.

There's event zone signs right at the start of the street? https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5985193,-...3312!8i6656

This time plate is wrong https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.598646,-0...3312!8i6656 as you can't have a single yellow lines that applies at all times, is it still there?

thanks for replying, i only just saw this.

there's no sign there no. https://goo.gl/maps/a7YZBH7PdrT4ZSUy9

That time plate "any time" is no longer there. I had a look at my images i took on the day. https://ibb.co/album/iNRWAa

I was thining to mention to the council that i am not in the CPZ zone and that there's no time plate to adhere to so the ticket is unlawful? i'm not sure what to refer and do include the imageof the zone.

If the CPZ signs are gone and there's no timeplate, then the alleged contravention did not occur because there are no restricted hours. Don't expect the council to just roll over, you're likely to get a stock rejection in the first instance, but if you've got your facts right then you can't lose. Post a draft representation on here before sending anything to the council.

I expect the zone signs have been moved but that is their map and sending it with a challenge means they will have to explain themselves, eventually, as CP says. And as he adds, don't send anything without posting here first.

Thanks guys

Had a rough day so im delayed on this. Thanks for your help and advice.

Further to your letter dated x regarding PCN x. I will be contesting this Notice to Owner on the grounds of the following.

Where Vehicle x was situated there is no timeplate or CPZ zone to adhere too.

Please see Photos below of the location of where I was parked. Note there is no time plate.

Image

below you’ll see the CPZ zone area where I was parked.

Image

On these grounds, I am requesting for you to void this PCN on the grounds that there was no offence committed.

Yours

______

thanks

Short, to the point, and covers what is needed. I would recommend you replace "void" with "cancel" and "offence" with "contravention" but other than that, there's no point in making it more wordy than it needs to be.

below you’ll see the CPZ zone area where I was parked.

Except that bit doesn't reflect what you want to say.

'The CPZ area according to your map and the location I parked, outside of the zone.'
