Depends on what type of camera it was. If it was a Gatso there should be two photos, if it was a Truvelo there'll only be one, if it was a mobile unit there'll be a video, from which they'll send one or more stills. In any event thy don't have to send you all the photos they have (or even any photos at all) at this stage. They may just send the one which gives the clearest view of the driver.

If you scan and post the photo (remove your reg number, and any reference numbers) we can take a look and give you an opinion.

They don't have to provide anything - but they often provide to assist with the driver identification. Do you doubt the measurement?

RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver
PoFA=Protection of Freedoms Act, SAC=Safety Awareness Course, NIP=Notice of Intended Prosecution, ADR=Alternative Dispute Resolution
PPC=Private Parking Company, LBCCC=Letter Before County Court Claim, PII=Personally Identifiable Information, SAR=Subject Access Request

Private Parking - remember, they just want your money and will say almost anything to get it.

I wouldn't waste your or my time, but as I know the area is notorious for the camera van I was being very careful, and don't think/believe my speed was 40 to be honest.

Clean ping from a laser device at 167metres. It's a still from the video.

That speed is eligible for an awareness course to avoid the points.

The measurement is almost instantaneous.

Thank you for your promp reply, so when I return the NIP will they offer an awareness course, do you think ?

at that distance could there be a possibility of scatter from other traffic ?

Yes, that's the usual procedure (assuming this isn't Scotland).

Course is usually offered up to 42mph. Otherwise standard fixed penalty (3 points/£60).
