What is the name of the Constabulary? - Date of the offence: - February 2010 Date of the NIP: - 20 days after the offence Date you received the NIP: - 22 days after the offence Location of offence (exact location as it appears on the NIP: important): - Central Ticket Office, Phoenix House, 2 London Road, Maidstone, Kent, ME16 8PZ Was the NIP addressed to you? - Yes Was the NIP sent by first class post, second class or recorded delivery? - First If your are not the Registered Keeper, what is your relationship to the vehicle? - It is my company car. My company lease it from Arval for me. How many current points do you have? - 6 Provide a description of events (if you know what happened) telling us as much about the incident as possible - some things that may seem trivial to you may be important, so don't leave anything out. Please do not post personal details for obvious reasons - Going up A249 detling hill. this is a 50 mph zone. 50 metres from derestricted signs just over the brow of the hill I accelerated to 68mph and was caught by a mobile speed camera van parked just before the derestricted signs! I would suggest checking the TRO that sets the 5 limit to see where it states the limit ends, its not unknown for them to make mistakes!
Are you sure about the location of the offence being as you quote? I think you may have got that a little wrong! Well known van lurking location for even a midlander! It would make an interesting S172 reply.
At the time of the alleged offence the vehicle was not at this location but at Detling Hill on the A249. Could it be argued under the slip rule that the OP was not misled ? |

It would, but I suspect its the OP who has mislead us and read 'offence' as 'office'....he's then misunderstood my question as he's written the Detling hill in the description....which as an aside used to be scary fun to try and decend at the NSL!
