Last week I received an NIP for a speeding offence in Manchester in August. The name on the NIP isn't mine although it has my address on. I've viewed the photos on the GMP website and it's a hire van. Called the hire company today and they told me there is another fine on it's way to me too ! I
i've returned the NIP today stating it wasn't me but i'm a bit concerned ! Is there anything else I should be doing ?

A google search of a random selection of EU countries shows they all include the address at time of issue.

Of course an EU national on a 'medium length' stay in the UK (say 1-2 years) will want any paperwork sent to his UK address but the licenec address will stay as the 'home' one.

Meer seems like those people who write in the Daily fail comments, SOMEone should do SOMEthing, but not me, oh no, I'm not going to figure it out or even see if it can be figured out, but THEY must do SOMEthing.

Reminds me of this great anecdote

This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realised that Everybody wouldn't do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Rather like "Criminal Solicitor", most are solicitors specialising in criminal law rather than criminal themselves

You've not come across Saul Goodman then.

Wow, you're pleasant aren't you ? Remind me never to ask for advice on here again. The driving licence was issued in Lithuania, where addresses aren't shown. This was confirmed by the hire company. Anyway, thanks to all those who offered advice, you were in the minority i'm afraid. I won't be back.
