Hi there,

first post so apologies if I haven't given all the info for advice

16/10/18 @ 19.58 I parked my car on frithville gardens in London on a single yellow line. Upon my return I found a PCN on the windscreen. the offence is
01: Parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours.

I am not from London, but I looked around and there was no signage informing me that I could not park there. See below links images showing no signage.

Have I got a case here due to lack of signage, more importantly how would I have known?

Thanks I advance for any guidance.

Rgds Oz

Post the PCN please and link to location on streetview.

Signage is present, the single yellow line.
No post signage and in London probably means you were in a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ)

I think you need to get up to speed on CPZs (Controlled Parking Zones).

Check where you parked and the resrictions on the map here (assuming Frithville Gardens in Shepherd's Bush)

https://www.lbhf.gov.uk/sites/default/files...and_charges.pdf

There should be signs at trhe boundary of the zone where you entered it.

I assume in that case it will prove difficult to contest?

Post the PCN so we can check for errors (especially on the back)

I think the OP would be wise to pay the discount and put this down as a learning opportunity in Life's Rich Pageant.
