Yellow box Fine, Unfair Options

Hello,

I would never intentionally stop on a yellow box but was caught a week ago with half my car on one outside a fire depot. Camera being watched by so person who pressed record. 2 cars in front were moving but then stopped to let a bus out to turn right across traffic. I had begun to move but not caught on the box as bus was let out.

Any grounds for appeal of 130 pound fine?

You could have squeezed out on the left but this really is bang to rights I'm afraid. I would pay the discount.

OP, have we seen the PCN? What's the date of the contravention? Have TfL extended any discount with the supply of the video?

The date is 2nd May with the extension and my extension was from 9th may until when I collected the video on 22nd May so I guess I'm on day 12.

Not so. To my viewing.

The car (two) in front didn't stop to let the bus out.

It stopped as the exit to the next YBJ, was not clear.

The bus then took the opportunity of the gap in traffic to pull out & turn right.

If the car in front stops for an inexplicable reason you can have a case. Not so here.

Ok but let's not miss the fact that 2 yellows boxes in such close conjunction lead to cars getting a bit trapped. Maybe more so if cars stop suddenly because of the first box. That could fairly just be a keep clear box. Anyway, seems like agreed opinion is just to pay with discount.

Homerton Fier Station is a notorious yellow box indeed with the second one so near. But I bet you won't get caught in it again.
