Nobody seems to have posted about this, so I will.

BBC reported last week that it has been found that the lower Scottish drink-drive limit has had no effect at all on accident frequency or severity.

I have to say IMHO this is to be expected, as it was just a political gesture. What they will never tell you is that similar limits in Europe only generated a fine if caught.It is only when person is detected close to or over the current English limit that more severe penalties are applied.

I recall a thread when the legislation was introduced

The prediction was that it would make zero reduction of road casualties but more prosecutions of drivers over the limit the morning after
