Hello,
I would never intentionally stop on a yellow box but was caught a week ago with half my car on one outside a fire depot. Camera being watched by so person who pressed record. 2 cars in front were moving but then stopped to let a bus out to turn right across traffic. I had begun to move but not caught on the box as bus was let out. Any grounds for appeal of 130 pound fine? Thanks in advance for your trusted advice Ae . |

Post the PCN - use a pic site such as Flickr or Imgur.
The problem with that location is there are two boxes - one for the fire station and one for the bus exit road. The fire station is one of the most common yellow boxes we see on the forum. Hmmm pic shows car virtually fully in the box - you need to see the CCTV footage, which you can either have sent to you on DVD (free) or by making an appointment to see it at TfLs office in Southwark.
The PCN will be put on hold until you've had a chance to view it. Was that the only photo TfL provided? If not, what do the time stamps on them say? If it's more than 2-3 seconds the discount looks good. This post has been edited by DastardlyDick: Sat, 5 May 2018 - 11:22 |

I've rewuested the footage but it is 9 seconds of waiting. Do you think I should just pay the discounted fine at 65 pounds?

Hello again,
The video shows a reasonably sudden stop by a car which is 2 cars a head to let a bus out. I get caught in the box for 20 seconds whilst the bus, police car and 2nd bus all come out of sude road. Any advice here on paying or protesting would be greatly appreciated Thanks |

Even if the video shows you waiting in the box, there are other factors which might make it worth appealing. Does it show you entering the box for example? Without that, the full contravention is not necessarily proven and appeals have been won.
