Hello,
Minster Baywatch Ltd is authorised by the landowner to operate in the private parking, located on the ground floor of the building where we live. I have been issued a parking charge notice for having parked a courtesy car in my parking bay. The permit was not displayed because it was in my own car, which I had taken to the garage for maintenance for a few days. Last Tuesday 16 July 2019, I have received 3 parking charges notification sent by Debt Recovery Plus (DRP) Ltd on behalf of Minster Baywatch Ltd. The charges refer to three different dates: 28.09.18, 29.09.18, and 02.10.18. Each charge amounts to £155, for a total of £465. The letters by DRP state that payments should be made in full within 10 days. However, this is the first time I have heard of these notifications, and am only given 10 days to execute the payment. I got in touch with DRP, and they are offering me 20% discount because of the lack of notifications. However, I am still not convinced their wrongdoing is so trivial. Can you please advise on how to proceed? |

Hello,
there is no mention about the parking spaces in the tenancy agreement. Around the parking there are the typical warnings saying that by entering you agree to abide with all the conditions. |

Thanks for your suggestion, but the letter from the Debt Recovery Plus says that they will take court action against me. This action will change my credit score probably.

DRP won’t be taking anyone to court.
If the parking company want to then your credit will only be affected if you lose and then don’t pay! -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver

Yes
DRP cannot take anyone to court because they never own any of the debts they have been employed to collect They are also not in any hurry to recommend court action If Minster Baywatch takes you to court, DRP receives nothing The standard forum advice is never to contact a debt collector |

Nothing you can write to MB will persuade them to cancel the charges
Wait until you receive a Letter Before Action and reply to that |
