Back at the start of the month my significant other may have forgotten to pay for a £2 bridge crossing (which is actually my fault as I forgot to mention it).
We've not had anything through the post however the car is on a lease so presumably any documents would go to them first, I intend to check with the lease company on Monday but was wondering if anyone knows how long they normally take in dishing out the fines! Many thanks in advance. -------------------- If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

As you have up to midnight of the day following the crossing to pay the toll, they can issue a PCN the day after. What we have found is that for first offenders, the DART and Mersey Gateway people are much more forgiving of forgetfulness. So if you contact their help line they may agree to cancel the PCN provided you pay the toll. If you're going to regularly use the bridge, it's best to set up an auto-pay account.

If the lease company pass on your details to Merseyflow and you subsequently get a PCN sent to you.... wait until just before the end of the reply period and appeal. Check teh attachments to the PCN. They invariably do not present the hirer/leaser with the full information required by Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act (POFA) 2012 within the specified period. Look at Clauses 13(2) and 14(2).
