I've received two PCNs for a prohibited right turn at traffic lights (https://photos.google.com/album/AF1QipMJAXzygnUNC2day66OOWat9Xo2AjSmUQ1JJClf); they both have same date/time.
What do I do about the duplicate? I've seen many crossroads (with traffic lights) where the lefthand lane has a left arrow and the words "except buses", in other words it tells a car driver in that position they must go left. Whereas here the righthand lane has a right arrow and no words, implying anyone in that position must go right, contradicting the sign below the lights which says turning right is not allowed for cars. Therefore it seems to me that the conventions of the two road markings are inconsistent. Please advise whether there are any grounds to contest? |

PCN ending 19 contravention on 11/6/22 01:26 code 50R I made a rep via website on this & I received a rejection letter dated 01/09/22 via email; PCN ending 54 contravention on 11/6/22 01:26 code 50R shows as cancelled on tfl website, I didn't make a rep on it. Video received on DVD from tfl is of type 'MKV' which pepipoo doesn't allow to be uploaded. Ok send this to the tribunal to register your appeal come back to us when that is done and you have a date for hearing I appeal against the imposition of PCN xxxxxxxx19 under the following grounds 1/ The contravention alleged did not occur This comes about as the signage in situ is confusing to the extent that if ails in complying with the requirements os s18 of the Local authorities traffic orders (procedures) act 1998 2/ That the penalty exceeds the relevant amount in the circumstances of the case TfL did issue two PSN's for this alleged contravention XXXXXXX19 the subject of this appeal and also xxxxxxx54 both the same location on the same date at the same time. This demands a penalty of £320 for a single contravention which is restricted by law to £160. 3/ by way of collateral challenge. That TfL did fail to consider representations TfL did not consider my representations, rather replying with a boiler plate cut & paste response that did not respond to my representation I intend to expand on each point upon sight of TfL's reply to this representation sign and date -------------------- All advice is given freely. If neither option works, drop me a PM and I'll sort something else out for you. Instead fill it in, scan it and email it to queries@londontribunals.org.uk (you will get an immediate auto-acknowledgment). Tick the box to say you want all communication to be by email, this avoids the risk of any postal issues. -------------------- If you would like assistance with a penalty charge notice, please post a thread on https://www.ftla.uk/index.php

There is something very weird going on with the video timing, it seems to be playing at at least 3 or 4 times the actual speed?

It does doesn't it but what i wanted to see was that there was no stop at the TL that would allow a closer look at the signage -------------------- All advice is given freely. QUOTE Is postal hearing or personal hearing best? Personal - these days it can be in person or by telephone. You are also able to have a representative who may act for you or may assist you. Personal enables you to answer questions or put any points you think haqve been overlooked' It has to be very very clear cut before we would recommend a postal hearing on papers. |

TFL has just DNC'ed the case, so that's the end of that.
