Hi, thank you both.
Meanwhile, a driver with EU license. One other speeding ticket in the last 3 years (paid ticket - no speed awareness course). Driver lives abroad and on and off in UK. Any issues? Cheers, GM How can we be sure it's him; will they send us an image of this? |

GM - they'll likely want to know the driver was insured, so be prepared for that question.
Naming an overseas driver otherwise isnt an issue - name and full address, all details you have really. |

Hi nosferatu1001,
Yes driver insured via company policy for this car. People share the vehicle. Hi Fredd, Thank you for your comment. I can confirm that this is the same case. This case is about a speeding offence. 37 mph instead of 30mph. Measured using manned equipment. The car is registered to a UK company. The driver is insured via the UK company policy. The driver holds an EU license. During the last 3 years, the driver had one other speeding ticket in the UK with the same vehicle. Instead of the speed awareness course, he chose to pay the fine. I don't know what happened to the points but presume they're put on a 'ghost licence'. Are there any issues to be expected in that regard? Will he be offered a course again for this speeding offence? We will name the driver. MT, GM |

Will he be offered a course again for this speeding offence? Almost certainly, but can only be taken in the UK... -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver
PoFA=Protection of Freedoms Act, SAC=Safety Awareness Course, NIP=Notice of Intended Prosecution, ADR=Alternative Dispute Resolution PPC=Private Parking Company, LBCCC=Letter Before County Court Claim, PII=Personally Identifiable Information, SAR=Subject Access Request Private Parking - remember, they just want your money and will say almost anything to get it. |
