Hey guys,
I was shocked to receive the following PCN letter today in the post.
Apparently PCN was issued on 01/11/2017 and I have NOT received no previous correspondence whatsoever. This is the only letter I have received.

Southwark Council are demanding I have to pay £130 + 50% increase of £65, so total £195 within 14 days.

Im shocked and dont have a clue what to do. Any help will be much appreciated.

Please find PCN attached.

Wait for the Order for Recovery and then make a witness statement to the Traffic Enforcement Centre that you didn't receive the original PCN. ( Details of how to will come with the OfR) This will re-set the process.

What is your address on your V5?
Is it your current address?
When was it last changed?

OP ---when you have sorted out the CC come back and have a look at this appeal:-

http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showto...t&p=1335255

If I recall, this infamous junction has a Diagram 953 sign (blue background with a bus logo) but the contravention relates to "certain vehicles" which must derive from the TMO.

If the sign is still there I would go with that appeal and probably bulk it up with the lack of an adequate advance warning sign (they may have changed it since last October).

https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Heaton+...33;4d-0.0638322

If it's a bus lane/gate that AWS is laughable.

Thanks for your input on this one guys.
Iv'e had a look at google maps at the bus lane (link that Mad Mick sent) and its an absolute joke, Southwark clearly trying to scam money from motorists. How is one meant to see that at 02.59am when it is pitch dark.

Neil you mentioned there have duff PCNs, I presume you mean that some PCNs are fake, if this is so how can I check to make sure this is not a fake one?

For now I presume the next letter I will get will be an order for recovery letter, in which it will give me details to appeal, so I can whiz of a witness statement stating original PCN was not received...

No they are all real but have arguably unlawful wording.Worry about it when appropriate.

It's not an appeal but a simple tick box application to the Court to reset the matter. Nothing to do with the contravention.
Actually a Statutory Declaration, not a Witness Statement but same effect.

You will need to get it sworn; free at local County Court.

Wow. I have to go to a court to get it done. Once this is done would I get the option to pay early discount fee for PCN?

Wow. I have to go to a court to get it done.

Normally a counter service. Due to cuts most need appt now.

Or suitable solicitor circa £7 - £10.

You'll have a PCN on usual terms - but why pay?

Indeed, why pay ? When the matter is reset to the original PCN, post it here and any details you can remember, and we'll advise whether to cough-up or appeal. Never, ever, trust any council's word on matters that involve them collecting money off you.

Hey guys this PCN is issued to my father I have just spoken to him and he has said that he remembers very clearly that there was a bus lane and he avoided the bus lane as there was a camera sign which he saw clearly. He said he followed the rest of the cars and went around avoiding the bus lane.

According to him the council have sent a false PCN and this is evident by the fact that no initial PCN letter was recieved.

I have viewed the photographs as well as the video evidence and it looks as though he did go through the bus/cycle lane.

So i'll have to wait for the court letter and get PCN reset and take it from there.

Okies guys, Iv'e emailed Southwark Parking explaining to them that I did not receive the initial PCN letter and that if there can re-send it to me and reset my case so fingers crossed.

This will save me from having to go to a county court and save me from having to go to and pay a solicitor.

I'll let you guys know how I get on.

No No No The advice was to wait for the order for recovery. you can wait all you want for the council to do anything else but if that is ignored then a bailiff will be at your door or the door of the RK

Okies sorry. I just thought it might speed up the process.

I'll just follow exactly what you guys say now and just wait for that order of recovery to come.

Hey guys iv'e received the following letter from Southwark Council today, which I am a bit surprised about as it thanks me for submitting a formal representation which I have not done.
Please advise what to do?

The only thing I did was as I mentioned above was emailed Southwark council (parking@southwark.gov.uk) with the following on 11th December 2017:

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this email to notify you that I did not receive the first PCN letter.

I was surprised to have received a PCN letter dated 07/12/2017 stating I had a balance outstanding of £195 as I failed to make a payment of the initial PCN which was apparently issued on the 01/11/2017.

I can promise you wholeheartedly and assure you that I most definitely did not recieve this first PCN letter and I have just literally recieved this second letter demanding I have a balance outstanding of £195.

I am pretty good with my paper work and always act as soon as I receive anything and I always check the post first thing every morning and I can most definitely say I did not receive this initial PCN.

I would really appreciate if you can look into this for me and reset the clock and send me the initial PCN again.

I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you in advance for looking into this for me.

Kind Regards,

John121
