Using only the mathematical symbols +, -, x, ÷, (, ), √ and ! on the left hand side of the equations below (as many times as necessary), complete the equations.
N.B. ! means 'factorial' - 0!=1, 1!=1, 2!=2x1=2, 3!=3x2x1=6, etc.

0 0 0 = 6
1 1 1 = 6
2 2 2 = 6
3 3 3 = 6
4 4 4 = 6
5 5 5 = 6
6 6 6 = 6
7 7 7 = 6
8 8 8 = 6
9 9 9 = 6
10 10 10 = 6

What is the next line in the sequence?

1
11
21
1211

if you panic bought too many brackets and need to use them up.

If I panic bought an infinite number of √s, then I can take the square root of any non-zero positive number an infinite number of times, which always gets me to 1. From there, it's easy (1+1+1)! OK, I need 3 lots of infinities of √s, but that's still infinity.

Now, can anybody other than Jlc work out the next line of the sequence (the way he initially wrote his answer is a very strong clue)?

1
11
21
1211
111221

312211

I'm sure I've seen this in Only Connect sequences round

Say what you see...

...but when written in this format it can be quite confusing for the below average mathematician.Mathematics should convey the information that you wish to show to the majority of people in a simple way

You must of seen those ridiculous FaceBook postings where someone poses a 'complex' mathematical sum using a mix of operators, without parentheses (brackets), and everyone has a different answer...

If only everyone remembers BODMAS!

Only for genius! 99% will fail. Only genius with IQ is 140+ can wins!

edit: not as bad as the ones which purport to repurpose "+" as some other quasi-mathematical function.

No. Try reading Jlc's answer again.
N.B. if you get it, you will won't need to ask if you got it right.

Totally depends on which base the questioner has chosen, I have no idea what base is chosen and therfore no answer.

No it doesn't.
N.B. by convention any number without a base indicated is base 10.
