Good afternoon all, on what is cleary a vey hot day!
I have recieved a PCN from Croydon Council and would be grateful if you could please confirm if the wording on the reverse is actually legal. Also noticed that there is no payment slip attached, is this okay? The element that I find a bit strange is that the first sentence says you can pay the reduced rate within 14 days but does not mention from when? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you BL This post has been edited by Blazelegion: Sun, 16 Aug 2020 - 16:32 |

Tells you what the 14 day period is on te front so that is not a goer.
What i find strange and ultra vires is that te say they will charge a removal fee if they move a vehicle, Never seen that in te regs but it will b=not help you -------------------- All advice is given freely. It is given without guarantee and responsibility for its use rests with the user

It doesn't give a postal address to which payment may be sent.

It doesn't give a postal address to which payment may be sent. Oddly that's not a requirement under the TMA 2004, the regs just say a PCN must state (i) the manner in which the penalty charge must be paid; It would be better if Blazelegion could supply the council photos, a link to the location on google street view, and a brief factual summary of why they were parked there and for how long. -------------------- If you would like assistance with a penalty charge notice, please post a thread on https://www.ftla.uk/index.php

Discount ends on 16th. So far this has all been technicalities and analysis of the authority's actions and docs. OP, how about what the driver did, why and whether any exemptions might apply? |

If that is all then I would not lose sight of the discount.

OP looks bang-to-rights on the parking, and what has been discussed so far looks pretty thin gruel for an appeal to London Tribunals, when the full £130 will be in play. The discount beckons IMHO.
