Hi Good Folks,
I received a parking ticket while opening a new account at Metro Bank in Bedfordshire. I appealed stating the the opening of the account took significantly longer than realised. I provided my reg on 2 occasions to 2 different staff members and have deposit receipts and account opening emails to support the continuity of the time frame. I was told by staff I would not get a ticket as I have given my reg. I logged an appeal with the operator which was rejected and am now at the POPLA stage. What can I do? See dropbox link: Information Thanks in advance |

From looking at the documents it seems you have already sent your appeal to POPLA? If so, it's a shame you didn't come here first, as we could've guaranteed you a victory - did you challenge their authority to operate on the land?
If you have already submitted your POPLA appeal, then the answer to your question of "What can I do?" is: wait and see what POPLA say. In the meantime, I would continue chasing the bank. -------------------- Useful Links (for private parking charges):

Yes I have submitted an appeal but, I have 7 days to comment on the evidence submitted. Does that make sense? I don't know that it means to challenge their authority to operate on the land This post has been edited by jhamilton: Fri, 30 Sep 2022 - 12:14 |

I don't know that it means to challenge their authority to operate on the land Yes it makes sense, because you are at the Popla comments stage , so draft your brief concise response to me evidence pack submitted by the claimant, less than 2000 characters ( not words ) then submit them to popla within 6 days of the date popla informed you ( you should have been expecting this stage ) |

Yes , go through their pack and find anything that destroys their claim , plus anything that bolsters your appeal against them
Read other popla appeal comments that others have posted last year and this year , see what they submitted, especially anyone that won It's called plagiarism |

Back to square 1! I parked on private land; The conditions of parking were *******; I gave my VRM in the bank but did not enter it into any device; OP, pl get away from procedure, landowner authority etc. and simply start at the beginning pl. |

Too late to add any new evidence , not allowed at this late stage , so follow what I said, rubbish their case and improve your own case using their own evidence pack against them
This case is close to a conclusion, submissions have already been made ,this requires a short , concise set of comments about the evidence pack This post has been edited by Redx: Fri, 30 Sep 2022 - 20:42 |
