I live in Scotland and have received a parking notice from parking eye.I have already appealed using a template online which was rejected. They didn't seem to answer any of my questions on appeal and just sent back a 3 page letter ref the usual court cases and other jargon.what should be my next move ? Should I just ignore all future communication with them.I must add in all communication I have had with them i have said I was the registered keeper

Did you identify the driver? If not, ignore. PoFA doesn't apply in Scotland so no RK liability. If they don't know the driver, they have no-one to get money out of.

They won't do anything in Scotland. Ignore them.

It could only affect your credit rating if
1/ They did file a court claim (not heard of in Scotland for a single ticket) AND
2/ They won in court AND
3/ You didn't pay the amount owed in the time stated

As you can see it's a threat that is toothless enough for 'How to train your dragons'!

Ignore (but file) the letters and indeed do nothing unless a letter before claim or actual claim from the courts arrives.

DO NOT worry if you get a letter from a debt collector, debt collectors are not bailiffs, the only power they have is to write scary looking letters with increasing levels of red ink used.

REALLY dont worry if parking eye use their debt collectors
It means they have no intention of trying court action.

Who are they going to start court action against? In Scotland they can only claim against the driver, who they don't know, and cannot transfer liability to the keeper as POFA does not apply.

They are just hoping that their scary letters will frighten someone into paying

As long as they are ignorant of the driver's identity, they can do nothing. Do NOT contact them again, at least without checking with us first.

Was the alleged parking breach also in Scotland?

There is no keeper liability in Scotland at the moment so unless they know the driver they are stuck and can just issue threateners. DCBL are mere debt collectors, there should be words to that effect on there letter, and can do nothing except write more annoying letters.

Just continue to ignore.
