up untill a year ago it was a national limit

BUT after reading the requirements of restricted speed limits and lamp posts, is this only for 30 limits?

Speed limit repeaters are required for all (non-motorway) roads except the following

1. 30mph limit within a system of street lighting.
2. National speed limit on unlit sections.

A 50mph limit will require repeaters at regular intervals, whether the carriageway is lit or unlit.
