Interesting

In what way? A ban for the offence itself is usual but 6 points is within the guidelines.

He become a totter and they accepted his EH plea.

I'm struggling with that the ambulance service had already suspended him and that a ban, presumably a relatively short one, would cost him his job.

I would have thought that a trained paramedic would have been desirable to keep so while I can understand being suspended from driving ambulances pending result or during a ban, losing job ?

I'm just supprised he clearly has a led foot already on 6 and 116 mph not much excuse really for a " professional" driver I'm just supprised how lenient they was

They could have either banned (Usually up to 2 months) or issue 6 points - they chose the latter.

For the EH plea how the points were gained are not relevant.

Perhaps he was covered by the PC Mark Milton exemption

It's a bit different though, PC Milton was on duty in a police vehicle, and supposedly using the vehicle for policing purposes (thus his ability to claim the exemption under section 87 of the RTRA), while the report says this paramedic was off duty in his private car.
