Yesterday came home to find a PCN on my windscreen, issued the day before on a Wembley Event Day.
Now I have the correct pass and the car was parked in a box. Examining the ticket it was for a completely different car, different registration mark and different bay. (Pay and Display) Obviously I'm not going to pay it. So it could have been put on my car by a CEO (highly unlikely) It could have been put on my car by another person as a prank. It could have been placed there by the owner of the car hoping I would pay his ticket. I have a choice: a) Thrown the ticket in the bin b) Try and find through social media the driver and give him the ticket What would you do? I'm inclined to do B |

I would return it to the council, so that if the owner challenges the Notice to Owner, there will be something to back up his story that he never got the PCN.

It is not for my car nor does it show my registration. Please amend your records accordingly. Hugs and Kisses Nothing will ever come of it for you. You could simply bin it and TBH, may well make no difference to the correct recipient, council will likely have pics of the envelope on the guy's screen. But it may get it cancelled for him. Or at least get discount re-offered should they challenge at NTO stage |

On a mildly different note I found a discarded PCN on the street recently. I often see the empty envelopes but this had the PCN still inside with Barnet’s AG code and the reg mark etc for the vehicle. I messaged/emailed Barnet but got nothing back from them.
I highly doubt you’d have any joy finding the registered owner via social media, but it’s nice to try :0) This post has been edited by Starworshipper12: Mon, 11 Nov 2019 - 12:19 |

Oddly enough, I found one just today sitting on the ground in our private building car park from Kingston Council... |

I'm still trying to work out how? Hi, I've found a PCN for car registration number ????? Anyone want to pay it? Some strange things happen with crowdfunding, you never know. |

This may work, if say the ‘keeper’ has a rather unusual reg mark and is all over social media...
