Hi all, A family member who has insurance on another family members car has managed to get a parking charge notice issued by Britannia Parking. The driver bought a ticket to pay for the parking but by the time the driver left the car park they were a few minutes late which was clocked by the ANPR with images of the car and reg but not the driver. The parking charge was for £60 if paid within two weeks, we spoke to a few friends/ family and they said ignore it and we also read up on the internet. One friend who has had numerous private parking tickets has previously just ignored all letters sent and then faced no further action. We then decided to ignore the letter. Last week another letter arrived saying it has gone up (as expected) to £100. Has anyone had any experience with Britannia Parking, are these parking charges enforceable or should we just ignore them? All help is appreciated. |

How many minutes is a few?
Of course they CAN BE enforceable. The supreme court, in 2015, said they CAN be. You need to get out your thread and read aroound. There are commonly used phrases and topics you must know about. If you sit here hopoing to be spoonfed, you will be disappointed. |

So let's see the original Notice to keeper, with identifying details redacted, but leave the dates. And here's POFA, which they have to comply with to go after the keeper as they don't know the driver.

Where is this, in general? Britannia have a couple of waterside side sites that are subject to byelaws.

It was 6 minutes over, I have read that there is a 10 minute grace period which should mean the driver is okay? |

We have just had OPs who thought that 20min+ was "a few" minutes over so it is wise to check! |
