Asking for a friend here.

He was flashed speeding at 47 in a 40 zone.

Admitted the offence and opted for conditional offer of fixed penalty and £100 fine.

Unfortunately he failed to pay within the time allowed and has now received a SJP.

Is his best bet to plead guilty online and getting the 33% discount.

Is he likely to still get the 3 points or would it be increased to 6?

How much do you calculation wizards think he'll be fined?
He's been long term unemployed on job seekers allowance.

Sorry I'm unable to put up any documents, as he's a bit rubbish on this front hence being in this mess.

Unless he has a defence then guilty is the only way to go. I don't see any need for the matter to go to court.

No, 3 points for that excess.

That excess is guideline of 50% (discounted for guilty plea to 33%) of weekly earnings*. Costs of £85, surcharge of 10% of the fine (min £32).

* There's a minimum figure, currently £120/week.

So rough total should be around £160.

Yeah he's guilty.

Ok many thanks for that.

Will report back on what final fine costs are.
