I have been shocked to receive four PCNs for the same contraventions. I have attached them with this topic. Two of them have code 33H and the other two code 33I. How significant is this? It can be seen that two tickets were issued within one minute of each other. Also, what is the statutory time between the date of the contravention and the date the council should serve the PCN. Is it 14 days? Cause they might have failed to meet this requirement. Please can you help me out with this and what are my chances of getting these cancelled. Many thanks.

Hi Neil
I am going to watch the video footage in person at the Harrow cctv operations dept. They do not give the video. Here google maps: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5917371,-...33;8i6656?hl=en https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5911933,-0.326632,16.46z |

The 'i' appears wrong according to GSV; taxis are not permitted. That needs checking.
Something wrong where 2 just one minute apart. There's the usual flaw on PCNs re Charge Cert. You will get interest from others tomorrow I'm sure. Watch your deadline; bit close. -------------------- |

Pardon my ignorance, what is the GSV, and what do the "i" and "h" represent?
What is the flaw with the charge certificate? I contacted harrow and requested to view the CCTV. Should they not put on hold the discounted period until I checked the videos? |

GSV = Google Street View.
https://www.google.com/maps/@51.5918152,-0....3312!8i6656 I have taken shots of both sides. As Neil says the one 1 min part looks suspicious and may be a fault in the camera but maybe you can reconstruct your movements. There are several other cases on the forum on this location but I can't see anything very helpful. This post has been edited by stamfordman: Sat, 3 Feb 2018 - 09:59 |

The 'i' appears wrong according to GSV; taxis are not permitted. That needs checking. Something wrong where 2 just one minute apart. Ignore that; taxis are permitted. 'i' is correct, as is 'h'. Still not sure how you've gone in two directions in under 2 minutes. You know more than us. -------------------- |

Its a roundabout, the OP will not be the first to have noticed the signs late and gone around, copping a ticket both ways It's not a roundabout on GSV? And if it now is, how does he/she pass both sets of signs? -------------------- |

You start by asking for the Traffic Order and a Site Report (map) and ask for details of the advanced warning signs and re-routing information signs (there is none). The whole scheme is a joke.
h) local buses and cycles only i) local buses, cycles and taxis only You travelled Southwest down CA which is h) local buses and cycles only and then came back the other way which is i) local buses, cycles and taxis only? These are two seperate locations. One is CA/Byron, the other is Byron/CA. This post has been edited by 4101: Sat, 3 Feb 2018 - 13:20 |

Thank you all.
Neil, all pcns happened on the same day, 12/1/2018. It was first time I went to the Harrow sports centre. There was a big event in the evening and I could not find a car park. So went looking for one. I think with this stretch of the road, the camera catches you when you enter it with letter "H", and if you return back into it, it catches with letter "I" from the other end. Does that explain why I have two pcn with H and two with I? Please can someone tell me what do these letter represent and why are they significant? Also, I know that more than one PCN for the same contravention within 24 hrs are to be cancelled. Is this also applicable to the moving traffic? There have been 14 days between the date of contravention and the date of serving the PCN, does that warrant a call to cancel the tickets? Lastly, are there any successfully appealed cases with PATAS for the same circumstances? |
