Dear all,

I have received a parking ticket in the Lambeth cited as parking Contravention 21s. I would very much appreciate your kind advice in helping me avoid any fine as I feel this is an unjust ticket as I had no idea the bays were suspended on the Sunday that I parked my vehicle. I note the following about my case;

• The car that I parked was a courtesy car.
• The parking restrictions in the area usually apply mon-fri.
• The offence took place on a Sunday.
• The whole bay was suspended.
• A parking sign (and associated meter) nearest to where I parked was not covered/labelled with any form of signage. All other posts were labelled.
• I have supplied a comprehensive list of photo evidence below (including front and back of PCN below along with a description of each photo).

I would like to know if I should appeal this case, and what my chances of avoiding the fine would be? All help appreciated.

Regards
Tng

Pic 2 taken at time of ‘offence’ – Note yellow cones had been moved onto the curb by other motorists. I was parked next to the meter – see also picture 7 below.

Pic 3 taken at time of ‘offence’ – ‘Correctly’ labelled sign, even though the fact it was a Sunday (and the parking bay is not restricted on a typical Sunday) confused me after I realized I had a ticket.

Pic 4 taken the day after the ‘offence’ – incorrectly labelled sign and meter adjacent to where I parked

Pic 5 taken the day after the ‘offence’ – incorrectly labelled sign and meter adjacent to where I parked

Pic 7 – Google Earth - Note the red arrows show where the suspension labelled were applied to parking signs, while the green arrow shows where the parking sign (and meter) which were not covered / labelled is located. I parked at the green cross (X). Note from the scale there is approximately 40-45m between correctly labelled signs.
