Hi there everyone.

My father in law as the owner of this vehicle got sent a NTK via Anpr to his home address. He said the driver at the time went to Lidl on the Sunday morning just after 9 unaware that it opened at 10 on Sundays. So the driver waited until opening time of 10 then went in, got a few bits of shopping and left at at the indicated time. Now the driver was unaware that they had to register the registration plate to get the free parking as they are a older person and this is all new to them.

The driver paid cash and has not got the receipt anymore.
It was a Sunday so if the driver wanted to park just for the sake of free parking to go somewhere they could of parked anywhere out side the store on the street as there is ample free parking on the Sunday.
So what would be my father in laws best course of action?

regards

Lidl have Athena on a very tight leash, the forum has never seen one of these end up in a claim which suggests the Lidl/Athena contract has a no court clause. Lidl also seem to get most of the parking charge leaving Atena with a small handling fee.

First try the store, if they do not offer to cancel then the Lidl CEO email is on the board somewhere.

So I went to the store today for the 3rd time this week to speak to the store manager as every other time I went he had left by the time I got there at about 8.30pm, but of course with work it was hard to get there any earlier.
Lets just say he was useless when i did manage to finally get hold of him, he asked if the driver still had the receipt but I said to him they paid cash and was for some bread and ham, Who keeps a receipt for just enough products for a sandwich?
He told me that without a receipt he can not help me and that I would have to go through the customer service way to get this cancelled.

Should I try customer services or Should I just try the CEO now?
I'm also aware that the 14 day period is almost up.

Thanks in advance

The Lidl/Athena PCNs I've dealt with went through Customer Services, who instructed Athena to cancel, which they did.

Is there any evidence that Athena manage any parking sites other than Lidl? I can't instantly bring to mind any others.

I wonder what the real link-up is between Athena and Lidl?

Thank you.

This is important information.

Would you be kind enough to post in 'Completed Cases' forum with a link back to this thread, please?
