I've recently received the following letter for a vehicle that I sold 5 months before the date of the alleged offence. The transfer of ownership obviously wasn't completed properly (have already asked for confirmation of registration details and are waiting response) otherwise the PCN would have gone to the new owner. Neither myself or the new owner (a trusted family member) have received any other correspondence about this offence.
This is actually the second time this has happened, the first time bailiffs came and took payment of £600. I'm really worried that before we can prove the ownership details from the DVLA (they say it can take up to 5 days) the bailiffs will come round again. Any advice VERY much appreciated. Thanks W |

Wrong forum. Hit REPORT and ask to be moved to council
You should use an Out of time emthod to get this reset. In the meantime simply park any vehicles in a garage and dont open the door. They have no power to force entry, I believe. |

So you're saying both you and the new owner never got any correspondence, despite presumably both knowing where you live?
If I were to hazard a a guess I'd say the V5C was never in your name/address after you bought it otherwise you or the trusted family member would be in the loop. |

Neither myself or the new owner (a trusted family member) have received any other correspondence about this offence. And this connected to there being an issue with the address the car was registered to, how exactly? JBW are saying they have your name at a different address initially. -------------------- |
