Transport for London has today (20 March) announced that all road user charging schemes in the capital will be temporarily suspended. This will come into effect so that none of the charges are in operation from Monday 23 March until further notice.

I think the idea is you really shouldn't go anywhere at all unless you're a key worker. The bigger concern I have is how well will the reinstatement of the charges be advertised when this is all over? I can virtually guarantee a nurse will turn up at some point saying she didn't realise the charges were back.

Just delete "virtually".

I would hope that there may be some leniency for the first few weeks especially towards key workers who inadvertently get caught.
