It’s been a while since I last posted but have a quick question...

The road on which the alleged contravention occurred is subject to a ban on vehicles between set hours Monday or Saturday. The road is one way and signs are placed at the start of the road showing the No Vehicle ban. Outside of these hours there are double yellow restricting parking other than a number of parking bays. Inside the bays are single yellow lines but no accompanying signs mounted on posts giving the necessary information of what the restriction times are.

Can a single yellow line indicating No Waiting between a designated period of time run the length of a Parking bay or is this a deviation from the TSRGD and so non compliant markings? I’ve looked at te ammended 2016 TSRGD but can’t establish if this is right or not.

Your help is much appreciated. Thank you.

What is the PCN for?

About the single yellows, is it in a controlled parking zone?

Post the PCN and google street view.

Put pics on https://imgbb.com or such like.

Code 1
Not a designated CPZ, just as described above.
Street view is not up to date and does not reflect the current markings.
Pictures taken by CEO show car inside bay marked with white lines and then a single yellow line running along kerb line with end T-bar just outside of end markings of bay.

If you want help you'll need to post PCN, pics.

A single yellow must have a timeplate if it's not in a controlled zone.

What exactly are the signs at the start of road.

I’m not wishing to be obstructive as I am quite used to fighting these PCNs, I am purely after an answer to my specific question, so no need to post PCNs and pictures etc. I already have grounds for two matters of Procedural Impropriety, I am just looking at another angle regarding road markings.

That you are having to ask the question tells us we need to see.

Of course the other issue is that this is a sharing forum; y'know, 'give and take'.

If there's really an issue of some kind at that location then you're witholding that info from
us, to the detriment of others.

If there is a No Motor Vehicles sign at the entrance there is also possible a yellow No Waiting plate, tis a common arrangement.
And may be where the time plate for the single yellows is, treating the area as a zone.

Pictures would help us help you, the PCN may give rise to other matters.
Otherwise we are guessing and all I can answer to your specific question is maybe.
