Nice. Remember to keep it rubber side down, and assume that all other road users are trying to kill you.

Keeping rubber side down is always my problem.
My last bike was a Ducati, one of the few I sold rather than wrecking. As I get older I am getting slower. This post has been edited by captain swoop: Thu, 10 Nov 2016 - 22:18 |

If you don't mind me asking, how much does one of those go for?
That one looks mint! |

If you don't mind me asking, how much does one of those go for? With your car history (and weegie weather), you and a sports bike do not immediately strike me as an ideal combination. -------------------- Andy

Yellow ones are faster
Why is it Motorcycle regs dictate they need to be dangerously almost silent, yet raise the bars, move the foot rests forward, make the bike unstable and call them cruisers and manufactures can then get away with straight through pipes? |

The regs are the same, but sports bikes bouncing off the limiter at 14,200rpm are generally noisier than a Hardly Madeitson idling in the High Street while the rider admires his reflection in a shop window.

If you don't mind me asking, how much does one of those go for? That one looks mint! I paid £3,900 Sun was shining today and I had the day off so I had a blast over to Whitby then across the moors to Pickering and back home via Helmesley. Fantastic bike, It ranks up with my previous Ducatis and the Yamah R6. It's fast and precise but easy to ride, it has a wide spread of power more like a Ducati V twin rather than A Japanese 4 so unless you really want to push you don’t have to orry about gears or power bands so much. It's engine is slim like a V and the exhaust has a howl. Love it. 123 horsepower from 675cc and 40mpg. By all accounts the current model is even better handling and comes with anti lock brakes and a slipper clutch. Booked in for a remap, aftermarket air filter and bigger rear sprocket.
I want to sharpen the acceleration a bit, not too bothered with ultimate top speed, I will never get near 160 anyway. |

you could have located a free d/load called tune ecu , used a std laptop and a VW cable , then gone to the website I suggested and l/loaded all the different maps , inc ones that are specific to bike mods (different exaust/filter)
when I first got my T595 , I downloaded the french map , which restricted the bike to 100 bhp (or was that MPH? ,,,, few yrs ago) and ran that whilst I learnt the bike has yours got the factory fitted alarm , if so call at a dealers and buy the blanking plug ASAP |

DIY is ok but I have had all my bikes set up and worked on by the same guy. I trust him to do it right, I've known him since college in the 80s and he's a member of the club and drinks in the same pub. Getting the fluids and brake pads done at the same time. Got the bike back on Wednesday. Swapped the aftermarket can for the standard that came with it, the Arrow is going on eBay.
Up one tooth on the rear and down one at the front Renthal 520 Conversion kit, Ultralight Sprockets with 520 Chain. Ecu remapped to correct speedo sharpen throttle response. Lovely sunny day in North Yorkshire today and no work so had a burn across to Teesdale and up to Alston. Then across the top to the Hartside Cafe for cup of tea to warm up before going down to Penrith and back over the A66. Home for 3.. Great bike. Well, after a summer of riding I am back on a Ducati.
The Triumph was a good bike, first class handling and amazing performance but it didn't 'click' for me. |
