Morning Pepipoo people.
Last week the driver received a parking charge notice (PCN) from 'the creditor' for parking on private property. The keeper has been issued with a £60.00 parking charge if paid before the 14 days are up of £100.00 thereafter. The picture of the PCN notice is very blurry and is on the opposite side of the road. The keeper is thinking of appeal on the grounds of which the PCN have been issued haven't been clearly captured on the day of the notice in question and that it has not been clearly displayed on the side of the road which the driver parked. Please could you assist in advising? Many thanks John This post has been edited by John II: Sun, 18 Nov 2018 - 15:46 |

They'll reject any appeal you make.
Is that your car parked close to their signs? Link are litigious so a court claim is likely. -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver
PoFA=Protection of Freedoms Act, SAC=Safety Awareness Course, NIP=Notice of Intended Prosecution, ADR=Alternative Dispute Resolution PPC=Private Parking Company, LBCCC=Letter Before County Court Claim, PII=Personally Identifiable Information, SAR=Subject Access Request Private Parking - remember, they just want your money and will say almost anything to get it. |

Edit yopur post and remove anything that may indicate who the driver was. only refer to "the driver" did this or that.
You received this as the keeper of the vehicle. Was this a windscreen ticket? This post has been edited by Dave65: Sat, 17 Nov 2018 - 10:49 |

And remove the reference number from the ticket and the vrm of the car from the photo.
Send an appeal from the keeper so that it arrives on about day 26. Signage not apparent, clear or readable because not illuminated. Vary the keeper details so that the details are not the same as that on the V5 so that you can tell if the DVLA have been contacted, but not sufficiently different that any response cannot be delivered. The idea is to get them to write back to you without contacting the DVLA or without issuing a Notice to Keeper. Both are POFA fails and as the don't know the driver then they can't claim from the keeper. If you can get a photo of that sign that may help. Cheers, Yes this was a windscreen ticket. They'll reject any appeal you make. Is that your car parked close to their signs? Link are litigious so a court claim is likely. Cheers. That is not the keepers car parked next to the sign. The keepers car is approximately 5-10 yards behind where the picture is taken. |
