Hello there,
I hope you can advise me on how best to reply to this Notice to registered keeper. It was issued on 19th October and served today, so it is within 14 days. The driver did not see any terms and conditions entering the parking area and especially "signs in prominent places" as it was by night. What are the best grounds to appeal as the keeper of the car? Thanks This post has been edited by bertie2018: Wed, 24 Oct 2018 - 09:58 |

Your appeal deadline is somewhere around 6th December by my reckoning. You don't need to panic about missing it for at least another couple of weeks.

That is a relief to hear, yet I would rather send the appeal sooner rather than later, if it is ready to go. Any thoughts anyone if I need to make any other change?

It's fine, as you can;t lose a non POFA POPLA appeal as long as you have never implied who the drvier was. Upload that as a PDF under OTHER (only OTHER).

Can I double check for OTHER you mean Other grounds for appeal?
The Popla website warns "Appeals based solely on the following grounds for appeal are less likely to be successful" Should I select a different ground? Or is that to be expected? It's fine, as you can;t lose a non POFA POPLA appeal as long as you have never implied who the drvier was. Upload that as a PDF under OTHER (only OTHER).

Use "other" as suggested.

That "advice" was written before the current POPLA had heard a single case

I just received this from Popla:
"MET Parking Services have told us they do not wish to contest the Appeal. This means that your Appeal is successful and you do not need to pay the parking charge. Yours sincerely POPLA Team" Thanks anyone on this Forum for the precious advice!.... |

Hello all,
I received a PCN final reminder from the same MET location at the end of last week (Friday 27th, I believe) and that the charge is overdue. The date of the alleged overstay incident was the 13th December 2022. Because of postal strikes and whatnot, we've not been getting post up until the last couple of weeks, but no original PCN paperwork has been received. On the appeals notice it says an appeal must be received by them within 28 days of issue of the first correspondence, which has now passed. To assume that I have received post.... yet not even given me the details of the alleged incident on the final reminder, how can I appeal without the relevant information given? How do I go about this. Complain or appeal under exceptional circumstances? Attached is the only correspondence I've had. |

Dendome, as per the forum "one thread per ticket" rule, please start your own thread for your issue. Otherwise things quickly become hopelessly confused.
