Guys, I need some advice on a Bus Lane parking ticket I got.

I went into the bus lane outside a busy shopping centre - for 1 minute maybe! - to drop someone off. The time was 7.11pm.

The letter says "Observed from 19:11 to ______" - it doesn't say what the end time is. HOW IMPORTANT is this omission?

I couldn't see any entry/stopping restrictions when entering. Surely one must be allowed to enter and then read signs, understand and then make a decision if it is permissible to stay in there or not? (I would suggest this is even true of a red box - since there ARE times when you are allowed in.)

The letter says the offence is a 'Parking Contravention' - stopping for 1 minute to let someone out is NOT parking.

The letter they sent says I can view the evidence on this web address: http://havering.appeals-online.co.uk/formal.aspx. The same address is given for challenging.

This web address is INVALID! I checked, this website is registered - but not being hosted. Customers must be wasting tons of time trying to logon. (A good reason in itself I would argue to - people have committed valuable time and effort to look at evidence or challenge - not reasonable to expect to spend hours and hours of time chasing different alternatives?)

Any thoughts?

See below for pics of both sides of the first page of the letter.

Thanks.

Guys, I thought I would update on my ticket.

I drove past the location again. The sign for parking times is faded. The symbol for no parking cannot be seen.
So, I had this up my sleeve to give my reason for appeal.

Time flew by. It just flipping went! I forgot to appeal in time. Heck, I was going to fight it anyway.
I sent them a first letter saying that I needed to see more evidence. I needed to see a video and more photographs with time stamps. I explained how the web link they gave didn't work on the letter. I said little else.

They sent me a letter saying that my appeal was granted and they would cancel the ticket.

OMG. I felt like replying to say that I hadn't appealed! And that I wanted a fight!! LOL
